Each post will feature a different store or website and will show you five items I'm loving from them. What better way to start this series off than with an Irish online store, Vavavoom.

Short Hair Don't Care

If you've been following my blog or any of my social media for a while, you'll know that I've always had really long hair. I've only ever had short hair (above my shoulder) when I was like 13 and it was horrendous! So bad that I decided to do it all again at 19 the day before my cousin's wedding - DISASTER! I know short hair doesn't really suit me but lately my long hair has just been so annoying and difficult to manage. It was dry and brittle at the ends and so long that it was constantly getting stuck in zips, handbags and car doors - how inconvenient!

I've been wanting to chop it off so much recently and last week, I finally went and did it. Well I didn't, my mom did :P now fear not, she used be a hairdresser so I was in capable hands! I got it cut to roughly just past my shoulders (a good bit shorter than where it was before below my ribs!) and I must say I am so happy with it. It's so much easier to manage and it feels way healthier. I'm so glad I cut it and am now contemplating going even shorter (Kevin will definitely start panicking when he reads this part due to my previous hair traumas haha!).

Here's a very quick before and after that I posted on my Snapchat (rfairydustblog). Let me know what you think!

Valentine's Day Hair, Make Up and Outfit Ideas

So as Valentine's Day is coming up, I thought I'd put together a quick post on some ideas for hair, make up and outfits. I've done similar posts before where I did separate posts on hairstylesmake up and outfits but this year I thought I'd make it easier for people and combine everything into one post. Hope you like it - let me know your favs in the comments! Enjoy your Valentine's Day :)

Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel with Active Charcoal Deep Cleansing Facial Scrub

I picked up this facial scrub from Boots a few months ago when my skin was feeling in need of some TLC! I had heard great things about charcoal facial scrubs and when I saw this from the Boots range I said I'd give it a go.

I have been absolutely loving it! It has tiny little micro beads that are great for exfoliating your face and really cleanse your pores and skin. The charcoal draws out any impurities and excess oil from the skin without leaving your skin feeling really dry. My face always feels really smooth afterwards and I must say I absolutely love this product and would definitely recommend it.

The facial scrub retails at €6.19 in Boots.

Viviscal Volumising Hair Fibres

Although I have quite thick hair, when I straighten it it's often very flat which is something I really don't like. I've tried so many different volumising powders, mousses and sprays that either simply don't work or leave my hair feeling really sticky and in need of a serious wash! When I got the Viviscal* volumising powder I was sceptical that it would work given my lack of previous luck with similar products. However, I was so surprised with the results when I used it and it's now part of my weekend hair routine.

What I love about this product is, unlike anything else I've tried, it doesn't leave my hair feeling sticky and can be easily brushed out. I simply put some in my roots and rub it into my scalp and I have instantly more volumised hair that is still natural looking. The second thing that I love is that it comes in a range of colours to suit your hair colour; brown, blonde, grey, auburn and black, meaning that if you have dark hair like me, you're not left with a load of white specks that are really obvious and difficult to rub into your hair. It also washes out really easily and is definitely the best volumising powder I've used so far.

It contains microscopic, electrostatically charged fibres with Keratin which stick to the hair creating a volumising appearance and the illusion of thicker hair in seconds. Each tiny fibre binds to the hair shaft building the appearance of hair density and providing greater coverage and a thicker, fuller-looking head of hair in just 30 seconds.

Viviscal volumising hair fibres retails at €24.99 but I have seen it in Boots for €15! It lasts ages as a little goes a long way so you definitely get value for money. I have mine about 2 months and there's still loads left!
