Summer Wardrobe Clear-Out!

Hola Fashionistas!

So now that I am finished college and have way too much time on my hands...I had to soon face the inevitable that is the nightmare clearance of my wardrobe. I have been putting this off for way too long now so I figured the sooner I do it the better.

Two weeks ago I cleared out my shoes and managed to fill 2 bags! On Wednesday I cleared out my clothes and dumped 4 bags! I have far more clothes that what my wardrobe can hold but I'm sure that's every girl's problem! Anyway, I threw out a lot of old clothes and things I just don't wear. I have loads of space now and it's far more cleaner (it won't last long I'm sure).

It feels really weird looking at my wardrobe now with it not being so crammed and I'm not sure I like it! I think I need to fill the leftover space and that calls for some shopping! So I think I'll have to start purchasing a few summer items soon which I will share with you here! Talk soon!

The End of an Era!

I have FINALLY finished my last ever exam in UCC!!! And what a relief it is! Cannot believe I have just done my degree! I actually feel so old! So glad to be finished though the exams were really dragged out this year. But most were actually surprisingly ok.

So I finished today at 3 and headed into town with the girls for some food and then on to college for some celebratory drinks!

Cannot believe my degree is over it really was the quickest 3 years ever. Had such a laugh during it though. I made some of the most amazing friends through it and have great memories that I will always cherish. It's actually kinda sad that it's come to end and I am SO not ready for this grown-up business and getting a proper job. So I have the next 2 years of my masters to look forward to and I really can't wait for it. So for the next 2 years I'm going to seriously live the student life and deal with becoming an adult after that!

So after these stressful few months, I think it's safe to say some retail therapy is well overdue! And now that these exams are over, I can really start looking forward to the summer and my holidays. So stay tuned for some upcoming fashion blog posts!

It's All About 1D!

Ok so I think it's safe to say that I am a little obsessed with One Direction (yes, I am 21!). So after continuous browsing (or borderline stalking!) the 1D boys' tweets about the 1D Big Announcement, I knew big news was to come. So they announced a worldwide stadium tour for 2014 and of course I HAD to be there.

I specifically set my alarm early enough on Saturday to get up and get the tickets. I had 2 laptops, my phone and the ticketmaster app all searching for tickets. But unforch, after ages of trying they sold out :( Then they added an extra date so I was all over that again with a million tabs open trying to get some sort of a ticket. Again had no luck. So I sorta gave up and guessed I wasn't going to be going until my little minion (as she shall now be known as) Louise sent me THE best text saying she had just got me 2 tickets! This may be the saddest blog post ever but I actually do not even kind of care! I love my 1D boys and thanks to Louise I shall be seeing them in exactly a year's time <3 So Louise, if you're reading, THANK YOU!!!!!

So that's my exciting news for this weekend. My finals finish on Tuesday (at long last) so there'll be more frequent blog posts which will defo feature some fashion and beauty posts. Holidays are coming so a new wardrobe is a must! Until then...

Bonjour Paris!

In March my boyfriend and I and our two friends went to Paris for four days. I was beyond excited because I have always wanted to go to Paris since I was young. We stayed in the Disneyland Resort.

We spent the majority of our time at Disneyland and because the park closed early at 8 we wanted to fit in as much as we could. We got up every morning at about 7 for breakfast and then headed to the park for 8. Because we were staying in the resort we had access to the park on our own from 8 until it opened to the public at 10. This was great but unfortunately only some rides were open. I had never been to Disneyland before so I was like a complete child gazing up at the most beautiful princess castle ever.

On our second day we went into Paris. We saw the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triumphe and walked down the famous Champs de Elysee. It was the only sunny (and warm) day we had so the pictures turned out fab. It was too windy to go up the Eiffel Tower so we were only able to get pictures outside it (which I was delighted by because I am TERRIFIED of heights!). Paris is so busy! It’s crazy. There’s no time to just stroll around (like a typical tourist); everyone is just literally running past you! We didn’t really do too much shopping there either but I wasn’t really that bothered. Purely because my crankiness was already setting in from the early mornings (Sorry Kev!).

I absolutely loved Disneyland. It was so magical and completely lived up to what I was expecting. I had finally gotten to see my princess castle that I dreamt about for so long. However, I wasn’t totally wowed over by Paris itself. I loved seeing the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triumphe but to be honest I was more than happy to leave after about 2 hours and head back to Disneyland. I would like to see it again in a few years and maybe stay in Paris city this time but for now, I wouldn’t be rushing back.

Next on my list is London. I’ve only been once and it was to a rugby match (back in my macho/not so girly days!). I really want to go there and explore the city and do some serious shopping. So Kev, if you’re reading this…I am TOTALLY hinting haha!

Anyway here are some pics of Paris for you to look at. Hope you enjoy them and as always…

25 Facts About Me!

1. I hate every type of cake. I don't even eat my own birthday cake.

2. I'm not very tall but I have rather big feet and hands.

3. I've known my boyfriend since we were 10 (awwww!).

4. My favourite colour is pink. I don't wear it that often but I like pink accessories and things.

5. My thumbs are double-jointed meaning I cannot even kind of straighten the tops of them (weird I know).

6. I only got my ears pierced when I was 15. I now have 3 piercings; my earlobe, forward helix and my cartilage. I used have my top cartilage, a second on my earlobe and my bellybutton done but they all closed up. I love getting new piercings but I'm terrified of needles and can't stand pain.

7. I used to be a complete tomboy until I was about 16 or 17. It was only really when I was in my last year in school that I started properly wearing make up and eh dressing like a girl.

8. I can't play a single instrument (failure!). I also can't sing but that doesn't stop me getting down with my 1D boys and having a private karaoke sesh in my bedroom that the whole house (and prob the neighbours) can hear.

9. Following on from number 8, I am IN LOVE with one direction. I go crazy crazy crazy when I see them (see what I did there?!). For my 21st (yes it is an appropriate one direction loving age) my parents got this poster made up for me. I was only in love with it of course and spent most of the night just staring at it.

10. I find it really hard to listen to my iPod without singing.

11. My favourite drink is coke. I got really excited when I finally saw my name on a bottle.

12. I have a really strange obsession with stationery and paper. I LOVE buying new stationery for college. And I'm really fussy about paper. I have to feel the paper first to see if it's nice (I get it I'm weird ok!).

13. I'm really organised with most stuff except when it comes to my wardrobe. It is a complete mess but I blame the lack of space!

14. Up until about 2 months ago I used to constantly bite my nails. It's a horrible habit that I've had since I was about 3.

15. Big muscles and chest hair on boys genuinely scare me. It really freaks me out.

16. When I was younger bald men used terrify me and used always make me cry.

17. I love the sun and I always feel I need to go on holidays every year (who doesn't!). This year it's Turkey then Florida baby!

18. I am TERRIFIED of snakes. I get goosebumps when I see them on T.V. Thank god Ireland doesn't have any!

19. I'm really afraid of breaking routines. With most things I have a strict order that everything goes in and I would freak out if I had to change it.

20. I am claustrophobic and I'm terrified of heights.

21. My favourite shop ever has got to Penneys/Primark. I don't think I've ever left that shop empty handed.

22. I can't drive but I'm determined to start this summer.

23. After college I plan on going travelling with my boyfriend for a year. I really want to explore the world and take a break after college.

24. I am honestly addicted to online shopping. It is way too easy!

25. I have never broken a bone in my body. The worst I've done is fracture my shoulder skiing.

Well that's all the 25 facts about me. Hope you enjoyed it and got to know me a little better :) Leave some comments and please follow me :)

Recent Fashion Purchases!

So fashion is most definitely one of my weaknesses and I am constantly shopping around town looking for something new. Penneys is my ultimate shopping heaven. I don’t think there’s been a single time I’ve went into Penneys and come out empty handed. So as the weather is getting a little warmer (well it’s supposed to be anyway!) I thought a few Spring/Summer fashion items were in order. Here are some of the things I have recently purchased.

So for my birthday, I received a gift voucher for River Island. I will admit I rarely shop here (although I love their bags and purses) as I’m not a huge lover of their stuff. I purchased this jumper on sale for €25 (down from €53!) but I’m still not sure how I feel about it. It’s a little baggy (but not in a nice way) and it’s just not a nice fit on me. I’ve seen it on other people and it’s lovely but I just don’t think it suits me. http://www.riverisland.com/women/knitwear/jumpers/Cream-stripe-textured-backless-jumper-632775

Recently, I’ve been really loving graphic tees. I think they’re really cute with a pair of leggings, jeans or even a skirt or shorts to make the look a bit dressy. I got this bargain of a top in Penneys last week for only €5! I love the rolled up sleeves and the length is perfect. I wore it with black leggings but I found I kept having to pull it down so I changed into black jeggings. I think it’d be really cute with a pair of skinny black shorts in the summer when the weather’s a bit warmer.

So as my holidays are fast approaching, new bikinis are a MUST for me every year. I’ve really been loving these fringe bikinis that have been seen everywhere. I got them both on ebay for around €6 each. I’m afraid the white will be seriously see-through but I think it’d look cute with a tan just chilling by the pool. The quality isn’t amazing but it’s not bad.

I saw these sandals from Penneys about 2 weeks ago and on Thursday I saw them again with only one pair left in my size so I figured it was fate and of course I grabbed them. I think they are so cute and will be perfect for my hols with a cute dress or skirt or even shorts. I think they’d be gorgeous with a pair of skinny jeans too. The detailing of the beads really make the sandals seem more expensive then what they were (a fab €15).

I’m a huge lover of big bags but recently I’ve been really loving the smaller cross-body bags. I got this AMAZING pink aztec River Island bag from Asos for around €33. I am in love with anything pink and I seriously love this bag. It’s a perfect summer must-have. http://www.asos.com/River-Island/River-Island-Aztec-Print-?Buckle-Front-Cross-Body-Bag/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2853828&SearchRedirect=true&SearchQuery=river%20island%20pink%20aztec%20bag

Finally, the last thing I purchased recently was this lovely lace navy dress for €17 from Tesco. It’s really light material so it’s perfect for holidays and those summer nights. I am a big lover of navy so I cannot wait to wear this with my new sandals. I think it would look great too with a pair of navy leggings if the weather is a bit cooler.

So thats all my purchases for a while! So until then...
