Blogmas Day 20: Christmas Outfit Ideas

So it's always a tough choice on what to wear for Christmas - cosy knitwear, cute dress, skirt? I've come up with a few of my favs from pinterest to give you some inspiration for your Christmas outfit. I've put in a mix of different outfits so they should suit everyone.

Blogmas Day 19: Improvised Panto in Cork Opera House

On Friday, myself and Kevin headed to the Opera House for the Improvised Panto. It's basically an improv comedy panto where the audience decide on what panto the actors will act out. They also read out random quotes that have been submitted by members of the audience and have to then incorporate this into their act. This was our 3rd year going and it's hilarious every time. The comedians are so funny and it's such a great night out.

It's on in Cork Opera House until the 22nd of Dec and you can buy tickets (€15 each) here. I definitely recommend going! You can check out our vlog of the night here.

Blogmas Day 18: Make Up Palette Gift Guide

Ok so I've missed the last two days of blogmas coz I have been SO busy and haven't been feeling very well over the weekend. I had no posts pre-written so I didn't have the energy to write new ones so I took a brief break!

Anyway I'm back with a gift guide on make up palettes. Here's a few of my favs.

4. Z Palette with Make Up Geek Eyeshadows - this is an empty palette that you can build up with individual eyeshadows of your choice. I've been building mine up with colours I like to wear and it's great coz it means I'll use all of the shades in it rather than a normal palette where I only tend to use a few shades.

Blogmas 2016 Day 15: Festive Gift Wrap

I've been stocking up on festive gift wrap for quite a while now. The last few years I've been using brown paper and accessorising with cute ribbons and gift tags. I've chosen to do that again this year while also incorporating our colour schemes (baby blue, grey and silver in one room and copper, white and silver in the other room).

 

I've been picking up lots of ribbon from Penneys, eBay, Tiger and Aldi to incorporate our colour scheme. The wrapping paper are from Aldi, Bookstation and Dunnes. The gift tags are a mix from Tesco, Dunnes, Aldi, Dealz and Penneys. I also picked up these very cute cards from Next and Tesco last year.

Blogmas Day 14: Homemade Nutella Hot Chocolate

Who doesn't love hot chocolate? I love having some around Christmas watching some festive movies! I tried making my own nutella one before and OMG it is amazing!!!! Here's the recipe if you're interested!

2 tablespoons of Nutella

240mls of milk

Toppings e.g. cream, sprinkles

Put Nutella into a pot over a medium heat.

Add in a quarter of the milk and stir for about 30 secs.

Add in the rest of the milk until the Nutella has dissolved.

Pour into a cup/glass and add any toppings. Enjoy!

Blogmas Day 13: Our Christmas Decorations

As this is our first Christmas in our own home, we don't have as many decorations as I would like to have but I suppose you have to start somewhere. We have two sitting rooms in our house and I've decided to go with two themes for them; one room is silver, copper and white and the other room is silver, grey and baby blue. I've been buying decorations that fit into these themes and have been pretty particular in what I buy because I need them to match the colour schemes :P

You've already seen our winter wonderland themed fireplace so I thought I'd take a few pics of some other decorations around the house and share them on here with you. 

Ignore the horrible red carpet, that will be changed in the New Year. I'm also dealing with two very stubborn tree toppers so ignore the lack of stars on the trees for now :P

Blogmas Day 12: Spotify Christmas Playlist

For today's post I thought I'd share my Spotify Christmas playlist with you. I've been adding my fav Christmas songs to it and I thought it'd be fun for you guys to listen to too (if you have Spotify of course :P). Let me know your fav Christmas songs!

Blogmas Day 11: Festive Fireplace

Since moving into this house I've been so excited for Christmas. Myself and Kevin were talking about ideas one evening when he came up with the most genius idea (then I perfected it ;) :P) for our fireplace. We decided to try and make a winter snow scene on the base of our fireplace.

I've been picking up cute little animals from Tesco, Penneys, Dealz and where ever I could find any more :P I decided to cover the fireplace in a white snow blanket that I picked up from Euro General for only €3. I then added some loose glitter snow and added some pom pom snowball decorations from Tesco to add to the snow scene. I dunno about you but I'm very impressed and think it looks super cute! It's a great feature in our room now.
